Meeting point is in front of Biblioteca Nazionale (National Library) in Piazza dei Cavalleggeri. Look for your guide holding a Walkabout sign.

This activity will end right where it started.
Your Vespa tour will begin in central Florence, where you’ll meet your guide for a brief safety overview and practice ride before hitting the road. Saddle up on your original Vintage PK Vespa, a classic model no longer produced, and follow your guide through the city streets until you reach the outskirts.

Admire panoramic views of Florence from the Church of San Miniato al Monte before taking a peek inside. The Romanesque church hosts an array of incredible artwork and is one of the city’s lesser-known gems.

Continue into the Tuscan hills, past poppy fields and vineyards, with plenty of opportunities to pause for photos. As you travel back toward Florence, pull over at Piazzale Michelangelo, where views of the Arno River and the iconic Duomo stretch out before you.

Conclude your adventure with a Tuscan meal on a private terrace, savoring bites of burrata cheese, bruschetta or meat cold cuts with fennel. Sit back, relax and soak up the Italian spirit before heading back to your original departure point.

Cool riding experience!
Samuel
, Oct 2021
This was a good tour! We got picked up in downtown Florence and taken by bus to a garage in the countryside nearby. Then we were taught how to drive the Vespa and evaluated in a test drive. Those who were comfortable and showed that they could handle the vespas well got to take them and a few people didn’t pass the evaluation and had to ride in a car. Once we got on the road it was super fun, riding as a group in a line through the windy roads, and we had beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside throughout the tour. We stopped a few times, once at a vineyard where the tour guide Cristian told us about Chianti. Another time was at an olive tree grove where we learned about olive oil. Last stop was for some food and wine which was good but not great. Also throughout there was a guy named Alex who knew the vespas really well and rode behind us to make sure everyone was okay.

Christian and Alex were our guides for the Vespa tour and they were amazing. Chris made sure we were comfortable and able to ride the Vespa. He was fun, friendly and made sure we were having a good time! The Tuscan country side is gorgeous and it was nice to spend a day out of the city. It was truly the highlight of our time in Florence! Recommend this tour HIGHLY!!!

Two Wheels, A great Guide, and a Great Lunch!

We just had a complete BLAST on this tour! These are some authentic Vespas, and riding them was something I'll never forget! The tour was easily paced, but plenty of moments to get them going up to speed. You will be driving in traffic a few times, and some roads are dirt and twisty, so previous experience is a plus, but even the "newbies" got it after a few minutes. The lunch was fantastic, and our guide was about as good as they come! I would do this again in a heartbeat! I think I was smiling ear to ear the ENTIRE time! :)

The perfect intro to Florence and Tuscany

This was one of the best highlights of our 2-week visit to Italy. Our guide, Chris was fantastic! The Vespas were all in fantastic shape, especially given their vintage and any minor issues we ran into were quickly resolved. We were with the group close to 6 hours from start to finish and wish we could have stayed for more. Make sure you check out Walkabout's collection of vintage Fiat 500s too! We'll be doing that tour next time!

Fun Way to See the Tuscan Countryside

, Oct 2021
- Our guides Christian and Alex were great and helpful - The Tuscan countryside is beautiful even on a chilly cloudy day - Folks should know it’s about 45 mins to check people in and to take a bus to a different location on the outskirts of the City where the Vespas are housed. Then it’s another 45 mins of instructions and practice. You don’t really get started until 3 pm and return to the city around 6:30 pm. - overall a truly Italian experience

Christian and Alex did an amazing job explaining the history of Florence and safely guiding us along the countryside. From the breath taking views to the Tuscan country roadside, absolutely beautiful. It has been the best tour we have encountered on our journey through France and Italy.
