8:00 AM
This activity will end right where it started.
Board your coach in Florence, and travel into the hills of Tuscany where the city of Siena awaits. Opt to take a guided tour of the city with a visit to Siena Cathedral to admire its renowned Gothic architecture. Or, make the most of some free time to set your own pace, and perhaps enjoy a coffee in the sun alongside the locals.

From Siena, return to the Tuscan countryside to explore the Chianti wine region. Stretch your legs with a stroll through a vineyard, olive grove and wine cellar, and refuel with a Tuscan winery lunch. As you sit surrounded by the grape vines, meet other visitors to the area and indulge in local treats such as cold cuts of meat, salad, pasta and fresh bread. Even better, a wine tasting takes place at the same time. (If the tour option without lunch is chosen, this part of the tour is not included but there will be more time spent in San Gimignano).

After lunch, journey onward to San Gimignano with its medieval towers, cobbled streets and squares. Explore the town’s historic center, cool down with a refreshing gelato and wander amid the 14 towers as you learn about their history.

Travel from San Gimignano to Pisa: your final stop of the day. Follow your guide to Cathedral Square to discover Pisa Duomo, Pisa Baptistry, the monumental cemetery (aka Camposanto) and, of course, the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Return to Florence in the early evening, and finish your Tuscany tour with a drop-off at the start point.

We booked this last minute for our last day in Florence and it was one of our favorite activities of our entire vacation. Alessandro was an incredible tour guide/coordinator, was engaging, funny, and full of information. Although I didn't know too much about what to expect at the start, the tour was very clearly laid out once we arrived at the meeting location, timely, and organized from start to finish. Lunch was also delicious!

Wonderful Tuscan experience!

Tuscany in October! It was the perfect time to be there. The one day sightseeing tour from Florence was exactly what I had hoped for. To see the rolling Chianti Hills, the idyllic Tuscan countryside, and venture to gorgeous Siena and the beautiful ancient hilltop town of San Gimigniano was fabulous! The lunch and wine tasting at an organic vineyard and olive grove was delicious and the view of San Gimignano from the vineyards was stunning. Sara was a fabulous guide. As an artist and fellow art historian, I grately appreciated her inside knowledge of the art and architecture of the area. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants a taste of Tuscany. It left me wanting to spend more time in Siena and perhaps add Volterra and Lucca on a future trip.

This was the perfect day; Alessandro was our charismatic, friendly and knowledgeable guide and the bus ride started with a scenic ride through Tuscany, arriving for lunch at a small farm. The stop at Siena was memorable as was the gelato in San Gimignano. We even stopped in Pisa for some unforgettable photos. Well planned and well-executed from start to finish, thank you!
