Following pickup from your hotel on Grand Cayman, transfer to the marina where you meet your boat. Of if you'd like, make your own way to the pier. Watch as the island's coastline recedes and sip the provided water or juice during your boat ride out to a series of sandbars in clear, shallow water.

Upon arrival at Stingray City, jump out of the boat into the calm, waist-deep water. The stingrays that congregate here are wild, but are accustomed to being near humans. During your stay, watch them pass by and take plenty of photos during your encounter.

Climb back on your boat and head over to the Barrier Reef or the Coral Garden for some snorkeling. Don the provided snorkel equipment and float peacefully in the calm waters among coral and schools of tropical fish. Your guide is available for beginner snorkel instruction.

Return to the marina on the boat, then transfer back to your Grand Cayman hotel at the end of this tour.
Stop At:
Stingray City
After hotel pickup and transport to the marina, your tour begins with a 30-minute boat ride out to Stingray City, a series of sandbars in the shallow waters of Grand Cayman’s North Sound where wild stingrays gather. During the ride, sit back and enjoy the views while sipping provided water or juice. When you arrive, hop in the clear turquoise water, which is about waist- to chest-high, to wade near the stingrays. You have approximately 40 minutes to enjoy the experience and take plenty of photos as the stingrays pass nearby. After visiting Stingray City, you'll head over to either Coral Garden or Barrier Reef for snorkeling. Spend 30 minutes swimming around the warm, crystal-clear water, where you'll see colorful coral and fish, including angel fish and parrot fish. Your guide will be there to make sure you enjoy a fun and safe experience. When your time is up, head back to the marina by boat, and then you’ll be returned to your hotel.

A must do....

What a great experience. The guide let us hold, feed and kiss the sting ray. I highly recommend this excursion, it was definitely a must see in Grand Cayman
Awesome Trip in the Caymans

Great excursion with 3 stops. Wasn’t expecting starfish beach but that was a nice surprise! The crew was extremely helpful and reliable and made for a wonderful experience. The water was a little rough but overall it was a fantastic experience and great day in the Caymans.

In consideration of time if you are on a cruise, you will be taking a smaller boat to the port. Thus, you want to be one of the first one to aboard these small boats. It was very easy to find the tour guide post. We came thru the south terminal but the tour post is located in the north terminal which is about a 4 min walk between each other. There is free guest WiFi there. Then, we took a 30 min drive to the boat dock. Then, we took another 30 min boat ride to the sand bar. The sand bar was pretty deep (I am 5’2). If your boat has life vests, I would recommend putting it on once you get in the water to stay afloat to get a nice photo above water lol. There were many boats parked and many people with the string rays. The current was moderately strong so the life vest helps. You have more than enough time to take a picture with a string ray, swim, and enjoy the water. There were many stingrays. We booked the 09:00AM tour and had enough time to return to the port to go to the gift shop and margaritaville. So as far as making it back on time you should be fine. I believe we got back around noon and our cruise departed at 03:30PM. Overall, for the price we paid and the experience it was well worth it. Reminder: Cash tip for the tour and separate tip for the bus driver that takes you to the boat dock (they have signs that say $1 tip is appreciated.)

The bus ride from Royal Walter to the boat was great. The captain and his crew were super knowledgeable and took great care of us.
Highly Recommend

I only paid 40 per person, stopped at stingray city, snorkel area and starfish beach same as every tour, so don’t pay for others charging more!! Amazingly beautiful waters and such cool creatures. Photos are pricey but they come out good so it’s worth it. Best day of our vacation, definitely do it!

Boring hosts

The excursion itself was amazing. Our providers/hosts were nice, but not engaging at all. This is why I gave it 3 stars
Robert Jr’s stingray Team
, Feb 2020
Robt Jr and crew were awesome. From landing at the port we met the Rowan sports team and checked in for our trip. Hung out and shopped for bit then loaded onto the vans to proceed to the boat. Once onboard they go over safety and boat details keeping it fun and light. Water and fruit punch available you're thirsty. Starfish island was great. Quick stop To find beautiful starfish. Hold them but keep them underwater. Kids loved this. Can jump in or use the stairs. Stingray city is stop 2. I cant Say enough about shipmate Beecher, aka the stingray whisperer. Even though it was packed with people Beecher went out and found one and brought it back so our entire group could touch, feed, hold, kiss and get massaged by the ray. He’s an absolutely amazing and gifted stingray wrangler. I think he uses his mind to talk them. Occasionally going under water to “talk” to them. Everyone got to touch and hold. Last stop was a snorkel area. Tricker for kids because it’s over their heads but there’s life jackets and snorkeling gear provided. We say tons of fish and huge rays swimming. These dudes are awesome, best excursion we’ve been on. Well done!!! FYI they do up-sell pics of you and the rays but seems worth it after looking at the price of gas and quality of this crew.

What A Mess
, Feb 2020
This was sold as a pickup at cruise ship. NOT TRUE. You have to find them. We had bought tickets for an 11:30am departure. When we found the desk (which took some doing) they told us we are departing at noon. We were concerned about getting back in time. At 12:15 we still hadn't left. Passengers from other cruise ships were still gathering. When we got on busses there was barely enough seats. The experience once on board was good but the boat was small. It was a windy day so the seas were rough. When we got to the stingray site there were tons of boats. Many larger than this one that might have handled those windy seas better. By the time we got back there was no time to do anything but run for last tender back to ship. There are TONS of options once you get on shore for the same excursion. I would check travel sites for better ones.
Rough weather made it a bad experience.

Very rough water and couldn’t interact with the stingrays. Boat was parked not close to the sand bar so you couldn’t get back on the boat. I’ve done this before and it was great!
