We spent a half day with our guide David. He was very knowledgeable of the city and the history of Pablo Escobar. David did an amazing job explaining everything, pointing out different parts of the city while we drove through neighborhoods. The stop at the catedral which is what Pablo’s jail was called will give you amazing views and walking down to the helipad was cool even though the elevation might get you out of breath on the way back up.
The stop at Comuna 13 was more than expected! The art in this área is amazing not just the graffiti but the people there performing music or painting.
Overall we loved this experience and completely recommend!! Upon my return to Medellín I will be doing this activity again!

This was definitely a memorable tour. Learning the “unknown” history of Pablo Escobar was very interesting. The best part of this tour was visiting Comuna 13. The community is so full of life and has some gorgeous views of Colombia. David, our tour guide, was the absolute best! Highly recommend this tour!

This was a great tour and would do it again in a heartbeat. Our tour guide Carlos is an ex police officer during Pablos time that is very knowledgeable.

This was a great tour which included many of the best sites of Medellin. We were short on time and this was a great way to see as much as possible in a short time. It doesn’t seem rushed too which was great. First off, we were lucky to have a tour guide (Wilson) who was so enthusiastic about the tour. He really got into character at times and really gave us a fantastic experience. A local who was able to share with us details specific to the the tour but also his own experiences of Medellin over the past 20 years. It was a great insight into Pablo Escobar but also the city of Medellin, how it was affected and how it is prospering. The tour is also a great way to see the city. I can’t recommend the tour Or Wilson highly enough.

I had a lot of fun on my Escobar tour. If you're expecting scenes from Narcos, you might be disappointed. But for me it was awesome to see this stuff in real life. I enjoyed every site and I found the drive around Medellín to be very pleasant and beautiful. My guide Julio was great. And if you're in Colombia and are upset upon hearing Spanish, then you shouldn't come. Tour is good for open-minded, interested people.

Areas of improvement:
1. The tour is listed as 4-5 hours. It is not. It is 6-8 hours.
2. The guides did not seem knowledgable / couldn’t answer questions
3. The tour is 85-90% in Spanish (minimal English)
