The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is the home for this popular American art form, safeguarding over 2.5 million artifacts, and featuring two expansive floors of gallery space, highlighting permanent and limited-engagement exhibitions.

Touring the two floors of the Museum’s gallery spaces, guests follow the evolution of country music, within the context of American history.

Visitors experience that evolution through a diverse mix of displayed artifacts, video footage, and carefully selected sound recordings. Biographical panels and audio tours tell the stories of those who have shaped the music, from Jimmie Rodgers to Hank Williams, through Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, to Garth Brooks and Reba McEntire, and beyond.

Many artifacts from today’s groundbreaking artists such as Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban are on display in the contemporary gallery space. Visitors of all ages can discover connections between country music’s past and artists of today, and have the chance to engage with interactive stations. Highlights include recording and songwriting areas, a forty-foot guitar, music trivia, and more.

The museum offers amazing tour experiences and opportunities to play an instrument, enjoy an archived film, or hear live music from country legends and renowned songwriters, with over 250 programs and activities each year.

Four unique shops—The Museum Store, Circa, Hatch Show Print, and the Haley Gallery—located on the property offer a great selection of books and music, museum souvenirs, original artwork, locally-made gifts, and country lifestyle apparel. Also, be sure to grab a bite to eat at one of our three restaurants—2|22, Red Onion, and Bajo Sexto Taco.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Real stories that must be told - that’s what you'll experience at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Start your journey through country music history with Sing Me Back Home: The Journey Begins, Folk Roots to the 1960s. This exciting multi-layered experience tells the story of country music’s humble folk roots, and tracks its evolution into the 1960s. In 2010, the museum opened an all-new exhibit experience, expanding on Sing Me Back Home with Dreaming My Dreams: The Journey Continues, 1960s to the Present. This expansion included the addition of hundreds of new artifacts and multimedia elements that focus on country music’s recent history. The history comes to life with every era of country music represented.

Country music’s early begging were very interesting. Loved seeing all the guitars and costumes! Wish there was a tribute to Naomi Judd somewhere.

Seeing all the history on display was amazing! Seeing how humbly country music started was powerful and awe inspiring. The costumes, instruments and Hall of Fame Rotunda were also all amazing to see! 100% recommend this attraction! Online ticket purchasing was easy and it was nice to skip the line :)

Great visit but it lacks proper signage for folks who have never visited. We paid for the audio tour and there were no verbal instructions or signage to explain.

Why wasn’t there more about Dolly, Loretta and Patsy? Why was there so much about Taylor swift who isn’t a country singer any more??? I thought it was disgusting honestly!

Before booking, the big question in my mind was can we do the HOF in about 2 hours. We did that and felt we covered all that we wanted.. This included immersing ourselves in some exhibits. Having said that, a big fan could certainly spend a day.
