Love the adventure we went on. When they say you need to be fit, they are correct. Both tour guides we’re amazing. Make sure your shoes have a good grip so you do t slide. The fruit was amazing. Highly recommend to do your tour with this place. Everyone was safe.

A quick but very stimulating experience

We had a wonderful time exploring el Yunque. The hiking was moderate, with moments of climbing slippery and muddy terrain. This hike expects to to jump from high places, so commit fully and you’ll have a blast. Expect to get your boots/sneakers muddy and soaked. Patricia and Maxine were phenomenal guides.

Great tour of a couple of waterfalls in El yunque Forest. It is about a 4-4.5 hr your and we totally enjoyed it. As guided you will get fully wet so don't take anything with you on the hike from the parking spot

Yunque Hiking Adventure

I booked this hiking adventure for our (couple) first trip together to Puerto Rico. Our tour guides were Patricia and Aumari both fluent in English and Spanish, extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. We Met as scheduled and followed their van (25 minutes) up to the private lot to park our car and enter through the muddy and rocky luscious plant filled trails to the River Fajardo. This is rolling river with large rocks to sit with ropes and rocks to jump into the river. Highly recommend good hiking boots or gripping sneakers as well as being ready for swimming. You may choose to go further up into the lush jungle through steep hills that allow access to natural shoots into another part of the river below. Come back down to the first pool to eat a feast of tropical fruit. If you don’t have a enclosed plastic case to protect your phone DONT take it with you. The guides have a camera for pics they will email to you. Go back through the trails and wash off with hoses before getting back to your car. There will iced cold beverages and snacks provided by your guides. Highly recommended for those who love to hike, are up for a workout and don’t mind getting muddy. Absolutely loved it.!

Terrific tour with great guides but we should have taken our phones to take pictures (we were advised not to).

The natural water slides were 🔥 , and the guides (Maxine & Jesse) were friendly and knowledgeable. Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes! And hopefully not your “good tennis shoes” because they will get muddy & wet several times.

Waterfalls adventure

We climbed up a steep trail, over rocks. The rainforest is gorgeous and has healing mud you can bathe in. We swung from ropes into the water and enjoyed natural watersides made from volcanic rocks. Our tour guides were excellent and we had an incredible time!

The worst customer service

We were totally lost up on the mountains. The tour guy wasn’t very friendly when we explained we were lost. We got transferred to the manager and she was worst then the tour guy. She gave me attitude and hung up on me while I was explaining myself. Very bad experience! I will not recommend The Yunque to anyone.

Do it!!!

Absolutely amazing experience. The rainforest is gorgeous. Be prepared to get your feet muddy and wet. But they allow you to hose off after so you don’t get mud in your car. This trip really made me feel like a kid again and the views are amazing. Definitely some work getting up the rocks but so worth it. And the fruit is incomparable. Do this!!!
